There is a good reason why Coorg is referred to as the “Scotland of India”. The lush green landscapes of the hills of the Western Ghats here make this place an ideal playing ground for trekking enthusiasts. Tourists who consider them to be adventurously inclined will be delighted to see all the different trekking options they have at their disposal here.
Tourists can take on the Tadiyendamol Peak which is the 3rd highest peak in the state of Karnataka, standing at an impressive height of 5735 feet. This trek becomes challenging as it progresses towards the peak, however there are numerous spots where tourists can set up camp and then proceed to the summit the next day. The view of the sunrise from the peak is a sight only a fortunate few have been able to experience. Other treks like the Brahmagiri, Nishani Betta, Galibeedu, Kotebetta, Kakkabe, and Pushpagiri are also available here.
