Description: One of the popular Tirthankara of Jainism, Puliyarmala Jain Temple is dedicated to Ananthnath Swami. Due to this reason, another popular name given to this temple is Ananthnath Swami Temple. Not only for religiously inclined people, but this ancient place is a popular destination for history lovers as well. As you enter the temple, it astonishes you with its dazzling structure. The doors at the gateway comprise of intricately carved panels. The exclusive carvings beautifully grow from the Stupa and reach the top of a figure of Lord Mahavira in the shrine. Not just the walls, the steps of the shrine also feature different Jain idols. Do observe some of the icons here which are carved from precious metals, like brass, gold and stone. Archaeological buffs must visit this temple constructed in ancient Dravidian style of architecture. Right behind a brass idol, you may also see a large Swastika. Constructed using traditional art, the temple offers very calm environs to devotees.
