Aihole is a chronological site and is famous as the hometown of Hindu stone architecture. It is a township in the Bagalkot district in Karnataka, nestled on the west part of Badami and comprises of almost 125 temples. The place is a very renowned tourist destination. Aihole is branded as the arena of architecture and is located to the east of Pattadakal by the side of the Malaprabha River. Idiosyncratic characteristics, which are supreme to early Western Chalukyan architecture, comprises of amazing fabrication with stress on length and not on width or height. Roofs are leveled with splendidly ceilings.
