Bannerghatta National Park, Karnataka
Bannerghatta National Park is a prominent attraction of Bangalore, located at a distance of 22 km from Bangalore city. It is a visual delight for visitors, attracting them with its rich variety of flora and fauna, set amidst picturesque surroundings. It is a safe haven for Indian Tigers, lions and various other mammals, which can be seen roaming here freely. Located within the Bannerghatta National Park is the first butterfly park of India, which was inaugurated in 2006. Spread over a vast area of 7.5 acres, this park also has a museum and a butterfly conservatory, which has been designed to conveniently accommodate around 20 different species of butterflies.
