Late Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma, the president of India laid its foundation in the year 1995 on 12th of January. The main motto of this amazing Regional Science Center was to create awareness among the youth and public about the importance of science and its benefits.
It is among 25 centers of National Council of Science Museum, which is a prominent scientific organization operating under the Government of India. The Ministry of Culture is such a body that takes complete charge of proffering information among people about Science and Technology, via a wide range of programs and interactive activities.
The major attraction of this museum is its collection of 300 above exhibits related to light, energy and atmosphere. In addition to this, there are plenty of other activities as well, categorized as outdoor and indoor, namely science drama, programs of computer awareness, lectures demonstrating science etc. This is a great place for tourists, especially children, to visit and understand the significance of science.
