Description: Constructed during the early phase of the 20th century, Prince of Wales museum has been renamed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and this historical structure attracts a large number of tourists. This building has been designed according to the Indo-Saracenic architecture style; however it also gives a glimpse of the Maratha, Jain and Mughal style of architecture. The museum is enclosed between well maintained gardens of palm trees, along with beautiful flower beds. The objects that adorn the place are categorized into three main categories, namely Natural History Department, Archaeology Department and Art Department. This museum is decorated with artifacts belonging to Indus valley civilization, making this museum one of its kinds which is present in the country and is visited all around the year.
