Location: Raj Bhavan is a heritage site which is situated at a distance of 3 km from the picturesque hill station of Ooty. This architectural wonder lies in the famous Guindy Park and spreads over an area of 86.72 acres.

Description: Raj Bhavan is regarded as the summer abode of the governor of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This government house was constructed in the year of 1877 by the then governor of Madras, Duke of Buckingham. However, later on some additions were also made in the structure. The Bhavan consists of a ball room, reception room and a large banqueting hall. This place also boasts of 17 guest rooms along with various office rooms. The garden of the Raj Bhavan spreads over an area of 9 acres and is adorned by two lily ponds, a vegetable garden, a sunken garden, a nursery and two green houses. Raj Bhavan also features paintings of various British rulers. Therefore this place attracts the attention of innumerable tourists, especially those who are fond of nature and history.
