The famous Lake District of India is located close to the red hills known for the several enormous rains filled reservoirs. This view is soothing to the eyes and contributes towards a beautiful landscape. The area comprises of eight distinct and individual lakes and each one has its own unique beauty. These lakes are known as Emerald, Upper Bhavani, Avalanche, Porthimund, Western catchments marked 1, 2 and 3 and Parson’s Valley Lake. It is an ideal location to engage in fishing adventure. Lake District houses the famous Govind Ballabh Pant zoo where many rare exotic animals are found. Some of the commonly found animals here include the famous Bengal tigers, elephants and monkeys.
