Tashi viewpoint was constructed under the supervision of great emperor of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal. Located at a distance of about 4km from Gangtok, it is one of the most visited places in Sikkim. One can enjoy the awe-inspiring view of Mount Kanchenjunga in its surroundings with immense lush greenery, adding pristine charm to its beauty.
Due to its location, you can have the benefit of enjoying its sights and the splendid view of Phodong and Labrang Monastery positioned on the opposite side. For tourists there is a well maintained cafeteria, as well as a place to rest. One can enjoy utter serenity at this beautiful place. Also there is a well maintained park, which is another very famous place among picnickers.
The Tashi view point can be visited any time of the year and between 6.30 am to 7.30 pm, especially in summers the place is a delight and worth watching.
