The Church of St. Thomas of Cansaulim is a tourist destination for all those people who want to know more about the colorful history of this state and the cultures that have been here. This is clearly evident in the different details of the architecture of this church, which was built in the year 1581 and then rebuilt in the year 1632. There is a presence of multiple architectural styles in the details of this church, including Italian Mannerism, Turkish Baroque and even Portuguese Manueline architectural influences. This church has also been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is currently being maintained by the Archaeological Society of India.
