Approximately 2 km from Colva and 8 km from the town of BetalBatim and the city of Margao as well, the BetalBatim Beach is another one of Goa’s hidden beaches. This beach is well known among locals for the mesmerizing golden sands which frame the waters of the Arabian Sea. The beach has a few palm trees as well, but what makes this beach stand out from the other beaches of Goa is the magnificent view of sunsets here. It is the view of the sun setting over the horizon, framed by many pine trees, which has earned this beach the name of “Sunset Beach.” There are a number of fishermen who will take tourists on their boats to head out and enjoy a trip to see some dolphins which are found in this area. Tourists can also choose from a number of hotels and beach resorts here when it comes to deciding their accommodation.
