Location: Eklingi temple is also popularly known as Meera Temple and is located at a distance of 22 km in north from the city of Udaipur.
Description: This beautiful temple has been dedicated to the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva and is one of the most visited temples lying in the region of Rajasthan. Constructed in 734 A.D., this temple was built under the supervision of Bappa Rawal. The architecture of the temple is beautifully designed and the complex houses various temples within its walls. A four faced idol of Lord Shiva adorns the complex, which was reconstructed from the ruins of the destroyed temple. This double storied complex has an elaborated hall, which supports the pyramidal roof. This temple is known for its exquisite stone carvings which adorn the interiors of the temple.
