The capital of the State of Goa is a city called Panjim, or Panaji as it is also known. Being the capital of the state, it experiences a fair share of people living in as well as travelling to and from this place. The Miramar Beach is located adjacent to the city and therefore also experiences its share of visitors. This beach was named “Porta De Gaspar Dias” by the early Portuguese settlers, who travelled to the Indian subcontinent but since then it has been renamed as Miramar Beach. This beach is situated at the meeting point of the Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. Thanks to its proximity to the city, this beach sees a large number of people come here to spend the day. There are also a number of shops here which make this beach a great hotspot for tourists who want to experience the life and culture of the state of Goa.
