Location: Sajjangarh Palace is situated atop the Bansdara Mountain at a height of about 3100 ft above the sea level. This palace overlooks the Fateh Sagar Lake and is located in Udaipur.
Description: Sajjangarh Palace, alternatively known as Monsoon Palace, was constructed by Maharana Sajjan Singh in the year 1884. While standing at the top of this fort, tourists can get a panoramic view of the city. This palace was used as a summer retreat for the king of Mewar and was constructed with the aim to watch monsoon clouds. White marble has been used for the construction of the palace, while the pillars of the palace have been carved with the help of beautiful motifs of flowers and leaves. During the evening, this palace is lit up beautifully and makes up for a sight that beholds tourist’s attention. This palace has been used in different movies, which has further increased its popularity.
