The biggest effigy in Hampi is that of Narasimha, one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. It sits on the Sesha, a giant seven-headed snake whose heads shade and protect the head of Lord Vishnu.
The idol of Lakshmi Devi, the wife of Lord Vishnu is also placed with the Narasimha. These ruins are a popular religious place where devotees offer their prayers.
