Also known as Gagan Mahal, the Palace is a small building serving as the center of the Anegondi kingdom. Surrounded by a magnificent fort, which is now in ruins, this place inspires feelings of mystic and wonder of the bygone era. Old Palace is located in the erstwhile capital city Anegondi near Hampi. Anegondi was a tiny kingdom that eventually grew to rule South India, under the name of Vijayanagar Empire.
