Public Gardens (Bagh-e-aam)

Situated in the heart of the city of Hyderabad, Public Garden or Bagh-e-aam was built in the year 1846 by the VIIth Nizam, Osman Ali Khan and is considered as the biggest and the oldest park of the city. This park is well known for conserved lawns and greenery.

These public gardens include various buildings, such as Jawahar Bal Bhawan where children can study fine arts, State Archaeological Museum, an open air theater known as Telugu Lalita Kala Thoranam and the famous Indira Gandhi Auditorium, which are also regarded as the main attractions of the bagh.

Being open on all days, it provides an opportunity to the visitors to relax and spend their day lazing around in the park. A well maintained park, it also boasts of a huge statue of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Therefore never miss to visit this attraction while on a trip to Hyderabad.
