Description: Construction of the City Palace started during the year of 1559 and stretched over a period of four and a half centuries. This palace was constructed according to the Mughal as well as British style of architecture. Present on the top of a hill, it provides a panoramic view of the surroundings. According to the legends, it is believed that the construction of the palace was started by Maharana Udai Singh, who was advised to do so by a hermit. The palace houses a collection of miniature paintings which depicts the tradition and culture of the ruling kings. A trip to this palace can leave a person enriched with knowledge.
