Location: Barmer, an impressive desert city, actually means “hilly fortress of Bar”. Located on the western side of Rajasthan, Barmer, the second largest district of the state boasts of its hospitable and hard working residents. This city is situated at a two hour’s drive from Jaisalmer.

Description: Part of the Thar Desert and established in the 13th century, Barmer is famous for its folk dance and music.
