Rishikesh railway station is the nearest rail terminal which helps in connecting Valley of Flowers with a majority of other Indian cities and towns. Travelers can access the Rishikesh rail head with the help of a large number of trains that operate to and fro different cities. Some of them are Hemkunt Express, Bsb Ddn Express, Utr Sampark K Express, Ranikhet Express and Bagh Express. From the railway station, tourists can take a bus to Gobind Ghat from where they can cover a distance of approximately 16 km by trekking.
Jolly Grant Airport, located in the city of Dehradun at a distance of 319 km, is the closest air terminal and connects domestic tourists with the city. International tourists can travel till the Delhi airport and then take a connecting flight to the Dehradun airport. After reaching at the air terminal, tourists have the option of choosing a pre paid taxi or take a bus in order to reach Joshimath from where they can trek up to the Valley of Flowers.
