Udaipur- A town with rich legacy

A picturesque spot located in the princely state of Rajasthan, Udaipur is also known by the name, “City of Lakes”. Laden with magnificent forts, temples, palaces, wildlife reserves, museums and lakes, this place remains full of tourists all over the year. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in the year 1559, the town is known for its rich ethnicity and tradition.

Constructed in the year 1559, by the Maharaja Udai Mirza Singh, it has around 11 palaces in the compound of the main palace. Apart from this, Lake Palace is another main attraction renowned for its artistic excellence and this place leaves the visitors spellbound. Another must visit attraction is Sajjangarh Fort, which is also called by the name, “Monsoon Palace”.

Pichola Lake, an artificial lake, is next in the list. Built in the year 1362 AD, this lake is a great evidence of flamboyant history of Udaipur. A visit to the museum of Udaipur is highly recommended, as one can see some of the significant articles of long-gone era here. For nature lovers the town has some of the most beautiful gardens, which are serene, calm and will surely mesmerize you with their unmatched beauty.
