Popularly known as the Queen of Satpura region, it is a saucer shaped hill resort in Madhya Pradesh. At a height of 1,067 feet, Pachmarhi offers a variety of attractions for the tourists, from ancient caves to beautiful monuments. A renowned hill station, it is greatly beholden to a pioneering officer of the British supremacy, Captain Forsyth, for its overall development. It was only on his commendation that this hill station was converted into sanatorium for the British troops.
One and the only hill station of Madhya Pradesh, Pachmarhi is a largely flat territory, which is encircled with high and mighty mound of Stapura range. The rocky hills, woody forests and the deep ravines are the characteristics of its countryside. The verdant green surroundings, with majestic hills and surging waterfalls will mesmerize you with their beauty. One of the main attractions of this place is the enthralling view of the sunset from the hill view resort.
