How to Reach Mussoorie

Mussoorie, well-known as the queen of hill stations has its nearest railway station in Dehradun. It is 34 kms and a one hour drive away from the main town. Tourists have the option to reach by train as this place is well linked to some of the major cities of India: New Delhi, Mumbai, Howrah, Lucknow, Varanasi, Amritsar, Saharanpur, Haridwar, Ujjain, Indore, Kathgodam etc, which operate trains on regular basis. You can hire taxis and buses that are easily available from the station to Mussoorie.



By Air

It is easier to arrive at Mussoorie by plane. Jolly Grant Airport is the closest airport, situated 60kms from Mussoorie. Flight services are available from all the cities in India to Dehradun with a stopover at Delhi airport, which is an international airport. Along with this all major airlines like Jet Airways, Spice Jet, and Air India have regular flights to Dehradun. You can easily board a bus or taxi from the airport to reach Mussoorie.



By Bus

The town is well maintained with motorable roads and excellent bus services of state government. These buses ply regularly to Kulri, Masonic Lodge Bus Stand and Tehri Bus Stand. Uttaranchal State Transport and privately owned luxury buses, shuttles regular bus to and from Delhi, Saharanpur, Haridwar, Shimla, Meerut, Roorkie, Chuttmalpur and Chamba, thus making easier for tourists to travel.
