Tourists who are thinking of flying to Munnar should disembark at the Nedumbassery or Cochin International Airport, which is located approximately 110 km away or the Madurai International Airport which is located approximately 140 km away. Munnar can be reachedfrom  a large number of other cities and towns in the state of Kerala thanks to a network of public State Govt. run transport buses which connect this city to the others. The city of Aluva is located at a distance of approximately 110 km which takes approximately 3 – 4 hours to traverse by bus. There are also buses available to and fro this city from the nearby cities of Cochin, Ernakulam, Pollachi and Coimbatore.
