How to Reach Mangalore

Travelling to Mangalore by train is convenient and easy, owing to the presence of two railway stations which connect this place to other cities of South India. Famous as Mangalore central and Mangalore Junction, these railway stations are located at Hampankatta and Kankanadi, respectively. Regular trains ply between Mangalore and major destinations including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Konkan Railways serves as a major link, connecting Mangalore to various cities, like Chennai, Trichy, Bangalore, Mumbai, Jammu and Coimbatore.

By Air

Being a prominent city of Karnataka state, Mangalore is well connected to rest of the country with various transport options, air travel being the most popular among them. Mangalore has an airport, located 16 km away from the Mangalore city, in Bajpe. Every major airline offers regular flights to and from Mangalore to other main cities including, Goa, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore, besides many international destinations like Muscat, Doha, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.

By Bus

A good network of roads makes Mangalore easily accessible from different Indian cities. Regular bus service offered by KSRTC and private owned companies, as well as National Highways 17 and 48 crossing through Mangalore, connect this city to other major destinations, including Mysore, Goa, Bangalore and Mumbai. Goa and Bangalore are located at a distance of 395 km and 347 km from Mangalore respectively and are easily reachable by a convenient bus ride.
