How to Reach Lucknow

Lucknow is connected through a well established rail network to various major cities in India.  Lucknow has two major rail junctions. The Lucknow city center is one of the junctions and the other one is at Charbag. The two junctions are at a distance of around 3 kilometers from each other. Trains from all major cities come to Lucknow on a daily basis. So, people from different parts of the country can visit Lucknow at affordable expense.



By Air

Lucknow can be easily reached by air as it has its own airport. The airport is at a distance of 14 kilometers from the city centre at a place called Amausi. Flights operate from Lucknow to places in Delhi, Kolkatta, Chennai, Bangalore, Jaipur and Mumbai. Pre-paid taxi services from Amausi to city centre are readily available, one can easily move to the city centre on   reaching the Lucknow airport.



By Bus

Lucknow can be easily reached through roadways from Delhi, Kanpur, Agra, Allahabad and Dehradun. Highways from all these places are well connected with Lucknow. The major highways passing through Lucknow are N.H.-25, N.H.-28 and N.H.-56. Uttar Pradesh State Road Corporation runs several buses from cities like Bhopal, Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Agra, Mathura and Varanasi. One can easily board a bus from these cities to Lucknow, thus making it easy and affordable to visit Lucknow.
