Sited around 106km towards the southeast of Mumbai, Lonavala is a popular hill station. It is particularly located on the Mumbai-Pune expressway. Renowned for its beautiful valleys and imposing mountains, the beauty of this hill station is really a feast for the eyes. The name Lonavala comes from a Sanskrit word - Lonavali, which means the group of caves. The presence of a large number of caves in this area gave this name to the place.

The verdant coverlet of green surrounding this hill-station blooms to life in Monsoon season. Many admired Bollywood films have used the scenic milieu of Lonavala which is blessed with cascades, lakes and foliage.
