Travelling to Khajuraho by train is comfortable and fast. Railway station located within Khajuraho connects it to cities like Delhi, Agra and Jhansi. Other two major railway stations located near Khajuraho are in Mahoba, and Harpalpur, at a convenient distance of around 77 Kms and 90 Kms, respectively. Tourists coming to Khajuraho from northern region can reach Jhansi railway station which is about 172 Kms away, while Satna railway station makes a better choice for those travelling from Mumbai, Varanasi and Kolkata.

By Air

Air travel is another good option that tourists can opt for to reach this beautiful town. Khajuraho has a small airport with regular flights being offered by prominent airlines to various major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Agra, Bhopal, Allahabad and Indore. Travelers coming from international destinations can reach Delhi or Mumbai first and then board direct flights to Khajuraho from these airports.
