How to Reach Bhubaneswar

A major railhead, the Bhubaneswar railway station is among the busiest railway stations of South India. Superfast trains connect this place to a large number of cities of India, such as Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. This railway station is located at a distance of around 6 km from the heart of the city. From here, you can easily get a bus, taxi or auto rickshaw to reach any part of the city.



By Air

This important city of Orissa has its own airport, which is known as the Biju Patnaik airport. This airport is very well connected with some of the main destinations of India, including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata. A large number of renowned service operators, such as the Jet Airways, Sahara etc., provide their services to this place. The airport is at a distance of around 4 km from the town. Hiring a taxi is the best way to reach your preferred destination after arriving at the airport. These are easily available outside the airport.

Through national highway, Bhubaneswar is very well connected to rest of the state. New Bus stand of Bhubaneswar is located around 6 km away from the center of the city and the state government run buses operate on regular basis here. The most frequent service is available to places like Puri and Konark, making it very easy for travelers to enjoy a wonderful road journey to reach this place, from where you can hire a taxi or auto rickshaw to reach any part of the town.
