Amritsar railway station is very well connected to other rail heads of Punjab as well as other places of the India. Direct trains are also available from cites : from Delhi you can reach by (Swarna Shtbdi), then Kolkata is another major zone which offers direct way to ASR by (W B Smprk Krnti), even Mumbai has (Asr Kcvl Expres) are the best express trains to reach the land of cultural diversity. Amritsar even has a connecting railway line to Pakistan.
Amritsar houses its own airport “The Rajasansi International airport” which is located 11 kms from the town. It has direct domestic flights which connect to Delhi airport. Flights like Kingfisher, Air India and Jet Airways depart for Delhi at affordable air-fare. Even Amritsar has direct -flights for international destinations, some of them are London, Canada, New York and Paris.
To reach Amritsar by bus is not fuzz as you have local bus service running in and around the state. It is well connected by road to different tourist centers in India. The G.T road links ASR to most north Indian towns, including Chandigarh, Delhi, Shimla, Jammu etc. You can even opt for luxury buses and cabs. Bus service to Lahore which is 35 km away is also available for the tourists wanting to travel to Pakistan.
