About Phagwara

Bounded by the two rivers Satluj and the Beas and situated on the prime location on Sher-Shah-Suri Marg (G.T.Road) and near the main railway link of Amritsar-Delhi, Phagwara is the main industrial centre in the Kapurthala District.

Phagwara is famous for its big shopping hub with Bazar Bansanwala, Sarafan Bazar and Gaushalla Bazar being the places of attraction for clothing & jewelers along with the famous Gurudwaras and Temples. Phagwara also has various stay options including 5 star hotels.

How To Reach

By Road:Delhi to Phagwara (Punjab) is 370 km and takes approx 6 hrs by road.

By Air:Nearest International Airport is Raja Sansi International Airport , Amritsar.

By Train:Most of the major trains stop here like the Shatabdi Express, Shan-e-Punjab, Swarna Shtbdi, Paschim Express etc.

It is famous for holy places like Shiv Mandir at Nimawala Chowk , Hanuman Mandir on G.T. road & Sri Durga Mandir at Sarafan Bazar. Vishwakarma mandir is the oldest sacred place situated at banga road. It has many historical & holy Gurdawaras like Sri Sukhchainana Sahib at Sukhchainan Nagar , Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi Chaura Khoo in the interior of the town and Gurudwara Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj on G.T.Road. It has mosques at Gaushalla Road & Palahi Road and Church too at G. T. Road as well at Hoshiarpur Road. There are also many other Sacred Places at different locations.
