The Kurinji Andavar Temple is famous for the Kurinji flowers that bloom only once in twelve years in the nearby area. Kurinji flowers bloomed for the last time in 2006, and if the shrubs survive, it is expected that they will bloom again in 2018. The presiding deity of the Kurinji Andavar Temple is Shri Kurinji Ishwaran, who is an incarnation or form of the Lord Murugan. The Kurinji Andavar Temple was built in 1936. The Kurinji Andavar Temple was established by Lady Ramanathan. Presently the Kurinji Andavar Temple is managed by Arulmighu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Thiru Kovil, Palani.

The Bryant Park at Kodaikanal is located at the east of the Kodaikanal Lake. It is actually a beautifully decorated and enthusiastically maintained botanical garden. In 1908, a forest officer from Madurai called H. D. Bryant had planned and built up this botanical garden. The name of the Bryant Park at Kodaikanal actually pays homage to him. The Bryant Park at Kodaikanal fosters more than 330 species of trees and innumerable varieties of bushes and shrubs. There are more than 740 varieties of roses in the Bryant Park at Kodaikanal. The entrance fee to the Bryant Park at Kodaikanal is very nominal. The Bryant Park at Kodaikanal remains open all through the year. The Pillar Rocks at Kodaikanal are located at a distance of about 8 kilometers from the bus stand. These are naturally formed rock pillars and are about 120 metres high.
