Description: Nana Rao Park has a history dating back to the first war of independence that was fought in the year 1857. The park has been named after Nana Rao Peshwa, who was a great freedom fighter and a brave soldier and this is the place where the Bibighar Massacre took place. This Park has been laid out beautifully and it is being maintained properly, thus attracting a lot of tourists and local people who visit this park often. A plant nursery, lush trees and beautiful flowers fill the atmosphere of this park with a stimulating aura. This park also houses statues of Lala Lajpat Rai, Rani Lakmi Bai, Tatya Tope and Ajizan Bai. Boodhha Bargad is a major attraction of Nana Rao Park.
