Description: Bhitargaon Temple is an old temple that has been constructed using large bricks and has a height of 15.41 meters. It is considered as an ancient masterpiece that exists from the Gupta period and this fact is justified by the excellent architecture of this temple. This Temple has been made by making use of mud mortar and serves as an example of the skill of the craftsmen of that time who had employed intricate carvings on terracotta panels and bricks for decorating the exteriors of this temple. The interior of this temple comprises only of a porch and a sanctum. Upper chamber of the sanctum was destroyed, because of getting struck by lightning in the 18th century. This temple is a two storey building and a great place to watch the beauty of art and culture that existed during ancient times.
