Built in the 17th century, this spectacular temple was constructed by Mirza Raja Jaisingh. A structural wonder, it has some of the magnificent Maratha paintings on the walls. During the eighteenth century some new structures were also added to the temple by the Marathas. The magnificent pictures on the walls add to the overall appeal of the temple.
In this shrine, you can find some of the best sculptures from 11th and 12th century. The icon of Govardhandhari Krishna, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are outstanding for their architectural opulence and sculptural brilliance. It is apparent that these overwhelming places of pilgrimage are creditable enough to grab the attention of not only the supporters but also casual tourists.
