Location: Thusharagiri waterfall is positioned in the western ghats of district of Kozhikode in the state of Kerala.
Description: Thusharagiri waterfall is situated in a village named Tushargiri which is at a distance of 50 kilometer from Kozhikode city. Chalippuzha River is formed by a blend of two streams that originate from the Western Ghats and this river, after covering some distance, gets split into three waterfalls. The water that gets splashed produces a roaring sound and foams like snow. The name Thusharagiri has been given to this waterfall because of these snowy foams, as the literal meaning of Thusharagiri is snow capped mountain. Thenpara is the highest waterfall and it is at an altitude of about 75 meters. It is a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery and the atmosphere here is serene and peaceful. So a number of tourists get attracted to this place.
Activities: A number of activities are possible in this place, for example mountain climbing, trekking and many other activities. This place also serves as a suitable excursion spot. Trekking in the dense jungles is an amazing experience. Mountain climbing in this region is also a preferred activity for many. September to November is considered as the best time to visit this waterfall.
