Description: The Tsuglagkhang complex is considered to be the official abode of the 14th Dalai Lama. This complex houses a number of structures inside it which include the Tibet museum, Namgyal Gompa, Photang and a temple. This place is an important pilgrimage site for the Tibetans living in exile. While at the Tsuglagkhang temple, people walk around the complex and spin the prayer wheels as they complete the circle. Spinning the prayer wheels is a part of praying and seeking Lord Buddha’s blessings. A large iron gate welcomes the devotees and visitors inside the complex. Photography lovers can click some amazing pictures of the complex however clicking of pictures inside the temple is forbidden.
Activities: While at the Tsuglagkhang complex, visitors can also mark a visit to the Tibet Museum. This museum houses various artifacts and antiques that give a glimpse of the Tibetan culture.
