Vivekananda house which is also famous by the name of ice house, is a holy place and hub of pilgrimage for the followers of Swami Vivekananda. This place is considered to be constructed in 1877. It is the place where Swami Vivekananda resided for 6 weeks in 1900. This place has a design of sunburst and gabled roof. This is a true magnum opus of Victorian architecture. With the calmness and feel of Swami Vivekananda, the bedroom where he resided has been converted into a meditation room. It also exhibits the table on which Swami Vivekananda had his meal near the fireplace. Devotees can have the complete feel of the time and activities Swami Vivekananda spent there during those 6 weeks. You can see the kitchen where the food was cooked, the garden where he played with the kids. This house is the corporeal souvenir of the whole life of Swami Vivekananda. It depicts the principles of Swami Vivekananda which he abided by his whole life.
