Location: Tapola is situated at a distance of 25 Kilometers from the town of Mahabaleshwar towards the bottom of the Tapola Ghat. It is in the heart of the Koyna valley near the backwaters of the Triveni Sangam of the valleys, named Koyna, Solshi and Kandhati.

Description: Tapola is famous by the title of Mini Kashmir of the western India. It is a small rural village located in the proximity of a small lake, called Shivsagar. The journey to Tapola is full of exotic natural locales on either sides of the road. Tapola serves as the base village of the Vasota Fort, known amongst the trekkers for its amazing jungle trek.  The whole region is located in the heart of lush green valleys. It is a perfect destination to escape from the stress and tensions of the busy city life, as here you can relax and rejuvenate.

Activities: Try the fun and thrilling motor boat ride at the Shivsagar Dam. Besides, motorboat ride, one can enjoy speed boats and scooter rides on the waters of the Dam. If you are a curious traveler then for your delight there are numerous unexplored and unidentified forts located in the laps of the thick forest cover. Kas Patthar, which is quite famous for its flowering season, is a must visit and is also well suited for accommodation.
