Location: Thommankuthu waterfall is one the iconic natural attractions belonging to Thodupuzha in Idukki district. This waterfall is located at a distance of 18 km from Thodupuzha.

Description: Thommankuthu Waterfall was named after a great hunter, Mr. Thommachen, who revealed the existence of this scenic waterfall to the world. The falls are a well known tourist attraction with viewing platforms of cascading water on seven rock layers. As this waterfall consists of seven drops, so it is can be defined as a seven step waterfall. Every step of waterfall has one pool and that makes it more attractive among nature lovers. Karimannor and Vannappuram are the nearest towns, located about 10 km away from Thommankuthu. The climate of this place is almost same as other parts of Kerala and lies in the Kaliyar Forest Range.  Elevated at a height of 40 m, this waterfall offers a captivating view of surrounding landscapes and dense green forests. This place is ideal for recreational activities, like trekking, camping, boating and bird watching. Tourists may easily get a good accommodation which is just a few kilometers away from this place.
