Mysore palace is amongst the most glorious buildings in the city of Mysore. The halls are huge and are known as “mantapâ€ÂÂ. Its beauty is enhanced by the art and paintings present here.
The Indo-Saracen style of architecture is the highlight of the palace and it is a proof of existence of royalty during the times of Yaduraya and Krishnarya, who settled in Mysore in 1399 A.D.
The tourists can visit the palace any day between 10am-5:30pm and an entry fee of Rs. 15/- is charged per person. The palace is lit up between 7pm-8pm on Sundays and on public holidays and for an additional 10 days throughout Dussehra celebration.
