Location: One of the historic relics of Indian era, Laxminarayan Temple is an ancient shrine of great religious importance in Arki, Himachal Pradesh.

Description: Believed to be 1000 years old, Laxminarayan Temple is gaining popularity all around the world. According to legends, the famous shrine was constructed by King Chattar Singh in 1664-90 AD. It was built as impudence against the regal orders announced by the Delhi Durbar for the destruction of Chamba temples. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his beloved consort Goddess Lakshmi, and Narsimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu itself, Laxminarayan Temple is frequently visited by Hindu devotees with great respect and devotion. Art and sculptural works, especially its imprinted figurines and carvings, are truly a piece of magnificence, which attract art lovers from around the world. Religious activities, including prayers, are regularly observed by the priests in the temple and devotees also take part in all ceremonies which are organized yearly on special auspicious occasions. Pooja is a ritual performed every day in the shrine to honor and worship the three main deities.
