This is a Hindu temple and the presiding deity of this temple is Lord Shiva. The temple follows the Nepali style of construction and was built by the King of Nepal, Purna Bahadur Pradhan and the year of construction was 1939. The designer behind the construction was Beg Raj Sakya, a Gorkhali architect. This temple was created as a replica of the famous Pashupatinath temple complex of Kathmandu in Nepal. Looking from outside the temple appears like a multi-layered shrine and its architecture pattern is same as that of Pashupatinath temple. At the very entrance of the temple one can witness a statue of Lord Shiva facing the temple. It is white in color and enclosed by a tiny fence. Five distinct expressions of the Lord with his broad third eye are portrayed in this statue. This place remains peaceful and calm and a feeling of divinity comes in one’s mind when he enters the temple.
