Location: One of the ancient spiritual centers in Vrindavan, Gokulnanda Temple is located in-between the Kesi Ghat and the Radha Raman Temple.
Description: Gokulnanda Temple houses the idols of Radha-Vinoda of Lokanath Goswami, the bigger deities of Baladeva Vidyabhusana and the Radha-Gokulnanda deities of Vishwanath Chakravarti. The most fascinating feature of this shrine is the Govardhan Shila, a stone which bears the thumbprint of Lord Chaitnaya. It is believed that Lord Chaitnaya presented this Shila to Raghunath Dasa Goswami. The idols which you may see now in the temple are Pratibhu Murti of Radha Vinod, since the original idols were taken to Jaipur to protect them from Muslim invaders. One would be mesmerized to see these beautiful idols of all deities adorned with different ornaments and attires. Though the idols in the temple are not original but they still have the same potency as original ones currently present in Jaipur. You can also see the samadhis of Krishnadeva, Sarvabhauma and Sri Ganga Narayana Chakravarti in a small courtyard next to the shrine.
Activities: Gokulnanda Temple is a highly revered site among devotees all over the country. After worshiping in this temple, you may spend some time in the tranquility of other holy places as well.
