Description: Made from two words, Roza and Bal, Rozabal means “the place of the tomb”. Rozabal is a mysterious place associated with two legends. According to Kashmiri Muslims, the shrine is the tomb of Muslim saint, Youza Asaf. Whereas, many researchers claim that the shrine houses the holy body of Jesus Christ. If you visit Khaniyar, you might see a big plate on the shrine saying “Ziarati Hazrati Youza Asouph”. Recent analysis in Khaniyar has revealed a book which claims that Jesus lived in India until the age of 100 and was buried only in Rozabal Shrine. Since then, the scared place is gaining immense popularity and people belonging to all religions pay homage at this holy shrine. As there is no evidence to prove the shrine belongs to which era, the origin of this shrine is a great mystery for all. The shrine houses two tombs, one of Saint Youza Asaf and other of Mir Sayyid Naseeruddin. Rozabal shrine is a unique place where people of all religions pray together and spread the message of love and peace.
