Description: Mansar Lake is one mile long and half a mile wide and is positioned in between lush greenery and surrounded by hills that are covered with lush forest. This lake is considered to be a sacred place and it shares the holiness and legacy of Mansa Sarovar. This place is a well known tourist spot. The banks of this Lake have a temple called Sheeshnag that is the snake god. It is of great significance and a common belief is that newly married couples should take three parikramas of this lake to take blessings of Sheshnag. A dip in the Mansar Lake is said to purify the sins. Mansar Lake has two temples near it, one is the Narsimha temple and the other is the Umapati Mahadev temple. So people visiting this place can have darshan of a number of temples.
