Location: Situated atop the Sher-Ka-Danda Ridge, Snow view point is one of the famous tourist spots of Nainital.

Description: Snow view point is elevated at a height of 2,270 meter and that is what makes it an excellent spot to view the entire Nainital town. The best way to reach Snow viewpoint is travelling through a cable car, which will add some adventure to your journey. Snow view point offers a bird’s eye view of snow-capped Himalayan Mountains, including Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Kot. Another way to reach this point is by road by covering a distance of 3 km from the town. Binoculars are available at this spot so you can enjoy the view of the entire city closely and with more clarity.  An old brass plate ornamented at snow viewpoint says ‘The Highest Mountain in the British Empire” and tourists can very well understand the meaning hidden in this sentence after seeing the exotic sceneries from this place. The best time of the year to enjoy a panoramic view of snow covered Himalayan region and other attractions of Nainital from Snow View Point is late October and November.
