Location: Sister’s Bazaar is located at a distance of 3 km above the famous mall road in Mussoorie. This place is present before the Victor Banerjee’s estate and lies to the right side of Ruskin Bond’s house.
Description: Sisters Bazaar was named after the nurses of British Military. During the British rule, this area was inhabited by the nuns and hence it got this name. However this place looks more of a residential area than a bazaar as it has several old and small cottages which are lined by few shops. The region is enclosed by deodar, pine and oak trees which increase the beauty of this place. The breathtaking scenery and tranquility of this spot makes it a preferred destination for those who are looking forward to spend some peaceful moments, away from the city’s maddening crowd. During the night time, Dehradun valley looks magnificent from this point. The shimmering stars on a clear night add to the beauty of the spot.
Activities: At the Sister’s Bazaar, tourists can look forward to shopping of some local made goods, along with a variety of other stuff. Handicraft shops boast of beautiful items that can be purchased at reasonable rates. In addition, tourists can also enjoy a stroll amidst the trees that beautifully line this place.
