Location: The beautifully constructed Nag Devta temple is located at a distance of approximately 6 km from Mussoorie and lies on the Cart Mackenzie road.
Description: The main deity of the ancient Nag Devta temple is the snake god, Lord Shiva. This temple witnesses a huge rush of visitors and devotees. The rituals which are performed on daily basis are carried out on large scale. Various festivals are celebrated here with huge pomp and show; however the festive celebrations of Nag Panchmi are carried out with immense grandeur. This festival is particularly dedicated to Lord Shiva and people mark their respect by offering milk to snakes. A grand feast is also organized in the temple, during which free food is offered to everyone who visits this place. From this temple, tourists can also get an exquisite view of the Mussoorie city and Doon Valley.
