On the outskirts of Agra city lays the Keetham Lake. Also named as Sur Sarovar, the serenity of this lake provides an excellent ambiance to escape the hectic routine of everyday life. Different aquatic birds that have made Keetham Lake their house are Night Heron, Graying Goose, Pintail and many more. A visit to this lake in the summers can be a wonderful experience as the cool breeze makes the atmosphere comfortable.
Being pentagonal in shape this lake is regarded as the most attractive out of all the lakes. Artificially created islands help in maintaining the ecological balance, as well as serve as a shelter for different migratory birds. Since 1991, this lake has been marked as a National Bird Sanctuary as it houses more than 106 species of different resident and migratory birds.
